[ Rey almost has to laugh at his comment, struck by just how incredibly true she feels it in her own life. She was nothing more than an orphan on Jakku, no name, no destiny, no real idea of what the rest of her life was going to look like outside of her desperate dreams. And then out of nowhere, a droid showed up, and Finn showed up, and then she'd been thrown alongside myth and legend and a rebellion that meant to change the fate of the entire galaxy.

Okay, fine. Yeah. She does have to laugh. At least a little. ]

You're right. We can't help the kind of stuff we get thrown into. [ She shakes her head. ] Look where we are, after all that.

[ And honestly how could Rey ever turn down an opportunity to climb trees and spend some time with a younger Luke Skywalker? It alleviates some of the anxiety clouding her heart even knowing she'll be in the orbit of someone as good and bright as him, which, sure, is a little cheesy, but it doesn't diminish the truth of the sentiment. ]

[ It's reflex, really, that Rey immediately checks her belt for where she keeps her lightsaber hooked at all times. And there's relief when she finds it where it should be, but now she's got other questions.

She doesn't even think to check the username, because that would be the logical thing to do. ]
